Dictionary works on tablets and phones and is refreshingly free from annoying ads and paid upgrades. There is also a "word of the day" with our pick of the most interesting and entertaining words in the English language. And we managed to keep data offline without needing a massive app download. It also works well if you only have an intermittent network connection because the definitions are stored offline, locally on the device. You can see your word history and revisit definitions, or make your own list of favourite words to help build up your vocabulary. The speech function helps provide the correct pronunciation. Definitions include synonyms and antonyms which allows the dictionary to also serve as a thesaurus. Wildcard characters can be used to help with word games like crosswords and scrabble where only some of the letters are known, or you have to find an anagram, or with spelling. Then you can follow the links in the definition page to get more word definitions. As you type, Dictionary homes in on the word you are looking for. The home page contains a randomly selected word cloud which will pique your curiosity and help you improve your vocabulary, while the search box allows you to find specific words easily. The dictionary definitions are stored locally, and because it's ad-free there's no need for a network connection. Dictionary is ideal for both native English speakers and English learners or people studying the English language. If there is no solution other than to allow access then I will just remove the game from my headset.Dictionary is a free offline English dictionary containing over 200,000 words and definitions and no ads. In a similar post on this forum I have seen somebody suggest that they accepted all of these permissions and the game worked. What I think the resolution is, is to allow the game access to my photos, files, information and to record audio. Given that what you have suggested seems to be the standard response to other people with this issue, I can’t really see where this is a confirmed solution by anybody. It is also a problem with just this one game so unlikely to be a hardware issue. It’s a brand new headset that I have had for literally 2 weeks and if I need to start defaulting it to factory settings already then quite frankly there are bigger issues with the unit. In terms of factory resetting my headset, I’m not going to do this. My software is up to date so again, makes no difference. I had already uninstalled and reinstalled the game which made no difference. I have tried down powering the quest and restarting but it makes no difference.Īm I just destined to go through life without the ability to play this game? Or shall I just download a different Poker game instead? I have looked into this issue and there seems to be many people having similar issues but no resolutions that I can see. * I then get three white dots on a black background and nothing happens. * I then get the same message about audio again and so I select the ‘don’t ask me again’ option and deny for a third time. * I then get the same message about access to audio. * I then get asked to choose to allow pokerstars to record audio. * game loads and I get to choose if I want Pokerstarts to access my photos and other info. Hi all, just purchased my Quest 2 and have downloaded a few games, one of which is Pokerstars and I am having issues with.
